1. Senior Sous Chef
Qualifications / skills:
• 3-4 years in similar position in a five-star hotel
• Good command of the English language spoken & written
• Degree in Culinary Art, Hotel Management or its equivalent.
• Completed kitchen apprentice or chefs training courses for at least one year.
Area of expertise :
• Oversees kitchen production, assists in menu writing, costing, and staff scheduling.
• Comes up with new dishes which appeal to the clients, whenever required.
• Produces high quality dishes that follows the established menus and standards, as well as to the clients' requirements.
• Train and mentor all chefs in order to reach the required standards.
• Manage all kitchen staff in order to provide the best results in minimum time, using the maximum of available resources.
• Ensure that HACCAP and other local regulations are adhered to ensure the highest food hygiene standards.
• Understand Food Cost, control and inventory management.
• Good culinary mentor to junior chefs, focus at training and development.
• To meet guest expectations and contribute to the profitability of the hotel.
