This luxury hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, 9 km from Sibayak Volcano and 24 km from Hill Park amusement ride.

 

Spacious upscale rooms feature flat-screen TVs, balconies and tea and coffee-making facilities. The higher class rooms feature a sitting area and pool with garden views; some rooms have a dining table. Suites have separate sitting and dining areas and minibars; the higher class suites have kitchenettes, DVD players and views of Mount Sinabung.

 

Facilities include an elegant restaurant, dining area on the terrace, an elegant cafe and a cool karaoke bar. There is also a billiards room and an outdoor swimming pool in the shape of a lagoon.

 

Position Summary:

- Check the food quality, presentation and service as per the required standards defined by Chief Cook

- Liaise with Chief Cook to discuss day to day operational requirements, achievements and improvements and take necessary action accordingly

- Monitor duty roster of subordinates and ensure compliance

- Assist chief cook in preparing/modifying menus and recipes in consultation with Location Manager, considering contract specifications, client's feedback and cost requirements. Prepare daily requisition for the next day kitchen supplies considering menu, stock in balance in the kitchen and available items in stores. Forward requisition to Chief Cook/Location Manager's approval, before issues are made by Storekeeper

- Check incoming supplies from stores for quality, quantity, damage and spoilage

- Oversee proper handling, packaging and storage of foodstuff and ensure the stock rotation procedures are maintained

- Ensure that the national food is prepared as per the planned menu and in line with the instructions received from Chief Cook. Ensure smooth and timely supply of prepared /cooked food to all concerned units

- Ensure that wastage control measures are in place and are complied with

- Execute additional/special menus/orders agreed between the management and client

- Prepare 'a la carte' orders if required contractually or approved by the management

- Assist Chief Cook in overseeing the service line from setup till the end of service.

- Identify training needs for subordinates and initiate training process in coordination with superior's especially National menu. Monitor and supervise on-the-job training process as per training guidelines and procedures. Ensure to maintain up to date records of on-the-job training

- Ensure that all kitchen tools and equipments are in working order and inform the malfunctioning to concerned immediately

- Assist Chief Cook in menu costing when requested

- Attend tool box and other training event to enhance knowledge about various aspects of cook's job

- Perform any other task assigned by his superior within the scope of the job

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional;

maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets

Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others

Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance

Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

 

Requirements:

- Hotel background by min D1 graduated

- Minimum 1 years experiences in a similar position

- Honest, Well groomed and demonstrative person Loyal, hand - working, thorough, tenacious, responsible, active, high motivated and initiative at work

- Willing to be placed in Berastagi/Sibolangit

- Only qualified candidates will be notified

- Able to join immediately
